The economy continues to sputter, M&A transaction values are not even close to what they used to be. In addition, there are far fewer transactions that are happening at all. These statements are all true of M&A activity as it relates to most industries. There is one exception, Healthcare… It’s a bull market in segments of Healthcare, multiples are as high as 2007 and deal activity is increasing. (more…)

SEC Initiative for Business Brokers

IBBA Elects Alan Clark Vice Chair of Education
Tuesday, August 17th, 2010The International Business Brokers Association announced today that Alan Clark has been elected Vice Chair – Education, to complete the unexpired term of Jerry Cofield, Jr., who resigned last month. Jerry Cofield, Jr., who had served as Vice Chair – Education since November, 2006, is credited with leading the effort within the IBBA to dramatically improve the quality of education as well as the quantity of educational course offerings. During the past 3½ years, IBBA has offered 204 educational courses to more than 5,000 students – business brokers
